ANC company setup

ANC (Ajman NuVentures Centre Free Zone, sometimes written ANCFZ) is one of the newest free zone authorities in the UAE. It is based in Ajman city. It was built so you can register online instead of at a counter. It has many business activities, including newer digital ones that older zones have been slow to add.

There is no minimum capital needed, and you can own 100% of the company. The licence works like other free zones: a trade licence, company papers and an establishment card, which lets the company sponsor residence visas.

Ajman is the smallest emirate by size. It competes on low cost and an easy process. That is a fair offer and it suits many businesses. It is also why this zone is advertised more than most, and why this page needs to be careful.

The authority's own adverts, and almost every agent's website, promise a fast time: a licence in a few hours, a visa in a few days. We will not repeat those numbers, on this page or in a price quote.

They may be true, but they are not ours to promise. How fast your application moves depends on your documents, who your shareholders are, whether attestation is needed, and how busy the authority is that week. A firm that promises you a date is promising something it does not control. If it is late, the firm does not pay for the flight you booked.

We follow the same rule on every page of this site. We would rather tell you exactly what you need and let the time be what it is.

It suits small digital businesses, consultants, e-commerce businesses and anyone who wants a proper UAE company at the lowest sensible cost. It suits people setting up from abroad, because the process is built for that. And it suits businesses in newer digital areas that some older authorities have not clearly defined yet.

It does not suit a business that needs an address its clients know. Ajman is a smaller emirate, and in some industries, some partners notice this. It does not suit businesses that need large physical space, an office in Dubai or approval from a Dubai authority.

The most important point: the cheapest licence is only a saving if it covers what you need. More than once, we have had to fix company setups that were bought only on price and did not cover the business the company actually did. Fixing it cost more than doing it right would have.

We apply directly, and we will tell you when the cheap option is right and when it is not. That is the main value we give here. We work with zones in six emirates, including six in Dubai. We earn nothing extra by recommending Ajman, or by not recommending it.

Think carefully about banking with this zone. A licence is only useful if you can open a bank account with it. Which banks accept which activities from which emirate is always changing. We would rather check this before you set up the company than see you hold a licence no bank will accept.

We do not publish a separate ANC licence fee. It depends on your business activity and the number of visas. In a zone advertised this hard on price, a low headline price with hidden conditions is exactly what we do not want to give you.

If your clients are abroad, if you sell online, if nobody will check your trade licence, and if cost is what matters most, Ajman is a good choice and we will happily set it up for you.

If you sell to UAE companies, if you need to be in Dubai, or if you plan to raise money from people who will read your papers, a Dubai licence is worth the extra cost and we will tell you so.

What we will not do is set up the cheapest option without first asking which of these you are. That question takes five minutes. It is the difference between a company that works and one you have to replace in a year.
